Of all the teams in the NBA, none have ever, or possibly WILL ever, reach the degree of success that the Boston Celtics have reached. With a record SEVENTEEN NBA Championship, the most recent being 2008, and the earliest being 1957, and over FOURTY-FIVE Conference and Division Championships, the Celtics just can't be stopped and haven't been stopped at any time period. The Celtics all-time roster plays like a greatest hits album, with names like Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish shining brightly through the star-studded list. One of the only teams to have never changed it's city or name, these days the Cetics are lead by "The Truth" Paul Pierce, the 2008 NBA Finals MVP, the incredibly young and talented Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen, an eight-time NBA All Star. With such talent and star power as this (something common in every year the Celtics have played) it seems that the Celtics are poised to win their eighteenth NBA Final soon enough.
