Carolina Hurricanes


The Carolina Hurricanes, formerly the New England/Hartford Whalers, were founded in 1972. They began playing in the WHA, where they were very successful, and then switched to the NHL in 1979. They have won three Division Championships, and two Conference Championships, which led on to a Stanley Cup Championship win in the 2006 season. The Hurricanes have has some great team captains also, including Kevin Dineen and Ron Francis. Their current roster is led by Rod Brind'Amour, Eric Staal, and Ray Whitney, three awesome plaers that could just lead the Hurricanes to their second Stanley Cup win.
