The New Jersey Devils have gone from the Kansas City Scouts, to the Colorado Rockies, and finally to the team they are today. They have a long history, starting in 1974 as one of the NHL's first expansion teams. The team didn't see any Championship-level succes until they reached New Jersey, though. Since then, the Devils have won over five Division Championships, four Conference Championships, and three Stanley Cups. The Devils have had their share of Hall of Famers also, most notably Viacheslav Fetisov, Peter Stasny, Scott Stevens, and Herb Brooks. In fact, many of the hockey players that created the "Miracle on Ice" in the 1980's olympics were New Jersey Devils players. In this upcoming season, the Devils are sporting a roster that includes Captain Jange Langenbrunner, the popular puckhandler Patrik Elias, and the NHL record-holding John Madden. With experience and skill like this, other teams are going to have a tough time matchingf the Devils this season.
